Twenty- seven (27) students have been identified by the Board of Education as benchmark student. During the summer eighty - (80) students were monitor due to excessive truant issue during the school calendar year. There were four (4) parents that was arrested due to their child been truant and warrants had been signed.
Truancy coordinators are educating themselves by attending workshops and training sessions facilitated by the Board of Education. The goal is to redirect the students back into the school system while educating both the parent and the student.
