COMPLAINT PROCESS

If a citizen has a complaint against a Macon Police Officer, the citizen should follow the below steps:

Contact the officer's Sergeant or supervisor. The sooner the supervisor is contacted the sooner the complaint can be addressed. In order to contact the officer's supervisor, call the Communications Center at 478-751-7500 or the appropriate precinct and ask to speak to the on-duty supervisor. You will have to know the officer's name or badge number.

If you do not get satisfaction from speaking with the Sergeant, then ask to speak with the Lieutenant of the precinct.

If satisfaction is still not reached, you should ask for the Precinct Commander.
