TRAINING:

Training is a top priority with our department.  You will receive a minimum of twelve (12) weeks training at the Macon Police Academy followed by ten (10) weeks training at the State Mandate Academy.   You will receive an additional three (3) months training with FTOs (Field Training Officers).  As you gain experience and knowledge through education and training, you may become eligible for assignment to one or more of the units listed on the right.
