ATF SAFE NEIGHBORHOOD GUN INITIATIVE

One (1) Sergeant is assigned to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms as part of Project Safe Neighborhood. This project is designed to target and arrest violent offenders who possess or have possessed weapons. Its goal is to assist in removing weapons from the criminals and prosecute the cases in federal court whenever possible.

REGIONAL DRUG TASK FORCE

one (1) officer is assigned to the Regional Drug Task Force. This unit is designed to work drug cases at a higher level than the street level drug dealer. The unit consists of officers from agencies in the Middle Georgia area and works from offices at the Bibb County Sheriff Office.
