ADOPTIONS

This is the fee charged for persons to adopt a cat or dog from the shelter. Included in the $60.00 is the cost of the animal being spayed or neutered and the first set of shots.

IMPOUND/RECLAIM FEE

This is the fee that is charged when the owner arrives at the shelter to reclaim his/her animal. They are responsible for this fee along with the boarding fee for the number of days the animal was in the shelter before being reclaimed.

QUARNTINE FEE

This is the fee that is charged to board animals that have bitten someone. These animals must be kept in a kennel by themselves and observed for 10 days for signs of the fatal disease rabies.

OUT OF COUNTY INTAKE

This fee is charged to citizens who do not reside in Macon/Bibb County who wish to drop their animals off at the animal shelter.

TAG FEE - LICENSE FEE

This is the yearly licensing fee for all animals that reside in the City of Macon. There is a difference in the fee based on if the animal is altered or not.

OWNER REQUESTED EUTHANASIA

This is the one time fee charged when the legal owner of an animal requests that the animal is put down. Generally the animal is sick or injured when this request is made.
